Approximately 25% of the American people are childless not by choice and 10% to 15% of the reproductive age range population are infertile. Childlessness is still a taboo, despite increasing prevalence of life circumstances which make it hard or impossible to have a biological child: fertility issues; relationship with a partner who already is a parent; being ‘single with the biological clock ticking’; hysterectomy; miscarriages; disease/disability; same sex relationships; etc.
Being involuntary childless can profoundly affect one’s sense of identity and create deep-seated grief. A wall of silence surrounds and isolates most women and men whatever the reason of their involuntary childlessness.

Childless not by choice – what now?

Sharing the pain, dissolving isolation, naming the struggle, sorting confusion, honoring unlived body experiences … support, empathy, guidance for decision making, answers, solutions, finding the next step toward peace inside! The issues are complicated … whether You are undecided, still hoping to have a child, or having to learn to live with childlessness.

The support weekends (as well as any future ongoing evening groups) provide women who suffer, because they have not (yet) been able to give birth to a child, with a safe and empathic space. An opportunity to be listened to, find help and develop further steps in their personal healing as well as in defining their individual paths. Siljoy is childless herself and combines in her seminars and individual Holistic Life Mentoring with involuntary childless people her personal experience with her professional skills of 25 years of Holistic Life Mentoring. She addresses all aspects of our life experience – Body, Soul, Spirit, Mind and Social Self.
